Questions to Ask Before Reserving a New-Construction Homesite

Before reserving a new-construction homesite, confirm how the home can sit on the land, where utilities and access will run, how water moves, which restrictions apply, and whether the lot supports your future outdoor plans.

How will the home face?

Study morning and afternoon light, street approach, neighboring homes, views, and privacy. Ask to see the floor plan positioned on the specific lot rather than evaluating the plan and land separately.

What affects the buildable area?

Review setbacks, easements, drainage areas, utility locations, slope, and any community requirements. These can affect the house footprint, garage approach, pool, fencing, and detached structures.

How will vehicles and utilities reach the home?

Confirm driveway grade and turning space, then identify likely routes for water, power, data, and other services. Plan future outdoor utilities before finished landscaping blocks access.

What is the construction process?

Ask about reservation terms, design approvals, selections, allowances, change orders, milestones, and communication. Magnolia Meadows buyers can review available homesites and plans together before making a commitment.
